Fate-an escapism???!!

I have always wondered whether the so called fate is a creation of the very own human mind to escape the worst happenings. Well, lets put it this way...speaking from the management perspective(excuse me for that...fault of having been a management student for almost 3+5 yrs...n perhaps for years to come) people are aversive to responsibility.

We all enjoy authority, but we don't like to take up the responsibility for the acts that was caused by our authority. If we can interpret our deeds as "authority", then isn't fate the creation of our mind to escape the responsibility that follows? Isn't it the creation of our very own human mind. We believe that something has happened not because it was our fault, but because it was meant to be. Well, if everything is meant to be...or everything has been written up there in our destiny, why should we put in our efforts towards something? Why don't we just sit up cross legged and let everything happen as per destiny?

There are two kinds of people around us. One who silently suffers in agony and misery blaming it all on "their fate"; and another who dares to change their destiny. Only the second category of people makes it big and the second category lives their life, making no difference to themselves as well as theirs.

Am sure that most of you might have come across Mr. Sharath Babu, an IIM-A graduate, who was in the lime light for quite a long period, for having turned down offers from corporate gaints offering pay package up to $185000 per year, to hire the wizard. Instead he went on to pursue his vision . He comes from a family, who at one point of time, didn't have enough to eat 3 proper meals a day. But today he heads Food King caterers which now employs around 200 employs and has a turnover in crores.

If we look back, Sharath had two options: either to sit back and blame it all on fate and drop his education and dreams or to dare to dream. Well, he chose the second path and bang...!! here he is...one more successful Indian entreprenuer who is soon going to make it to the Forbes. Well, his journey to success was never a cake walk. He did come across obstacles. But every time, he stood up and said to himself "I can do it", instead of blaming it all on one word "fate...!!"

Like Sharath rightly says "It doesn't cost to dream in here".

So guys...stop cribbing over whatever has happened...learn to move ahead....!! Success is just a short while away from you...

Anticipating your comments, suggestions and criticisms...

Keep smiling

Poorni

  2. i agree wid u poorni that we blame all the bad things on fate...and the good things on our efforts...
But fate does come into play like the things which are beyond our control...like the death of dear one.....sometimes eventhough we work hard to acheive sumthng still don't get it...What is in our control is our life...we can influence destiny by believing in our dreams and working towards it..just like the example you have given...I once read in an article that we can change our destiny or reduce the bad things in life by doing good...We all know 'as we sow so shall we reap'..so what is important is to live each day to the fullest and do something productive for the day...
    Wat say guys???
